KREETI , The Sculpture Workshop
28 march – 11 April 2019
I was captivated by the ancient city of Nepal and its natural beauty. The gentle breeze that swept through the hills was both calming and invigorating. However, this tranquility could quickly be disrupted by fierce storms that forced locals to seek shelter.
Inspired by the powerful force of air, I created a sculpture that embodies its unseen presence. The abstract form of a leaf symbolises the wind’s playful dance and its forceful impact during storms. The intricate patterns on the sculpture represent the swirling winds that characterise the city. By capturing the dynamic movement and hidden beauty of Kirtipur, I aimed to create a contemporary sculpture that reflects the spirit of this ancient place.
