Man with Doko

Man with Doko, based on the same geometrical design depicts a Man carrying his Doko on a journey. The removable compartment of the Doko with books symbolises how many people have to give up on education to achieve a better financial life at a young age. In the early stages of industrialisation, many people were forced to leave their rural homes and abandon their dreams of higher education in order to financially support their families. This was a difficult but necessary decision for many, and it’s important to appreciate the sacrifices that the older generation made to create a better future for younger generations
